About Trish

Lazy Cat Closet opened our doors December 4, 2019.

Lazy Cat Closet was a completely spontaneous decision. Trish is a born and raised Northern BC gal who practiced as an optician for over 30 years. After retiring from the optical industry in July 2019 she had planned to move to Nova Scotia and open a small cafe.

When her dad passed suddenly in August 2019 her plans took a turn. She spent a week in September at Cassiar Cannery for a yoga and meditation retreat, settling her mind and spirit.

When she returned to Facebook Land after the week off grid, she saw that her favourite Prince Rupert shop, Udder Bags, was closing their doors! In that moment she decided to open a small boutique and create a space for sustainable clothing and accessories made in British Columbia.

Since we opened, Lazy Cat Closet has had the incredibly fulfilling opportunity to partner with many amazing and talented women in Prince Rupert, Prince George, Powell River, Vancouver, Victoria, Duncan and more!
