"I was imported to Canada in 1967. Been drawing, and generally mucking about with art since I was in diapers.

My artwork tends towards the magical. A bit cryptic. Or at the very least, I hope to jolt you out of the way you look at the world.

A lot of what I do is based on wandering about and taking photo walks. Riffing off that. I also like to work in series because it's similar to a musician who plays variations on a theme. Or a comedian or improv act, who amazes audiences by coming back to the original idea on several occasions.

When I discovered artists who use mixed media, I was immediately hooked and started collecting bits of stuff, such as cogs, sea glass, earrings, polished stones, maps…I am a gatherer of relics. Heck, I AM a relic."

Here's a quote by a favourite author:

" Make interesting, amazing, glorious, fantastic mistakes. Break rules. Leave the world more interesting for being here.

MAKE GOOD ART!"

           -Neil Gaiman
